Sunday April 8 2018
Today was the teams’ second Sunday with the Believers Bible Assembly here in Kumasi. The Lord’s Supper was well attended with all seats taken. It was a precious time as we shared again the remembrance our Savior’s wondrous love. Mr. David Koehle, a dear friend and brother from Port Alberni in British Columbia, Canada, also appeared this morning for the meetings. It was a great delight to see him once again, and introduce him to the assembly which has grown and changed since his previous visit several years before.
Following the Lord’s Supper the ladies gathered for their study time together, and sister Pam shared the word of God with them. This was the largest group we have seen yet for our ladies study! It was very encouraging to see many attending this special occasion.
Mercer taught in the Family Bible Hour, continuing his teaching on the resurrection. Tim and Daniel took the teen class today, and exhorted the teens to flee from temptation, teaching from David’s sin with Bathsheba. Jennifer and Sara taught the Sunday school class which went quite well.
After a quick lunch the team went to the Kumasi Children’s Home where we ministered to about 100 orphans. The children were a bit restless, but heard the gospel message as presented through our various methods of illustration and explanation.
We previously reported that one of our team members had fallen sick and was hospitalized. We are pleased to report that Richard is now back at home and recovering well from his sickness.
Today’s prayer items include:
1. Full and soon recovery for brother Richard.
2. Monday we will visit three school in the morning followed by a long afternoon doing village evangelism. Please pray for open hearts and power in the Spirit to preach the good news effectively.
3. Continued strength of body, purpose of mind, and passion of heart to complete our mission.
4. For our cooks who are working tirelessly to provide 3 meals each day for a crowd of 20 plus people.
Thank you for following along, and for your continued support in prayer. You can find daily updates, pictures and video from the outreach in Ghana at the eTeam’s Facebook page.
