After an intense week of activity the team used today as a time of rest and enjoyment. Most of us travelled to lake Bosomtwe for a picnic lunch and some time to play foot ball (soccer) and swim. Some chose to rest in the shade while others enjoyed teaching the Ghanaians how to swim. A good time was had by all. On our way to the lake we spent some time in Kuntanase handing out tracks and witnessing to those in the area. One contact was very special, a young lady who desired to know how to be saved and was very concerned that she wasn’t saved. She spoke English well and Jesse was able to explain the gospel to her clearly. It’s amazing how the Lord uses us and how His timing is so perfect! May we be sensitive to every opportunity He places in our path. On the way home we were able to locate her and hand her a Bible.
The few that had stayed at home for a time of rest also spent time with our dear brother Richard in the hospital. We thank the Lord that he seems to be recovering and might be discharged on Sunday.
Although it was not planned tonight we presented a sixth movie night as a gospel outreach to the community. We received a phone call asking if we had a program tonight, so the movie was quickly set up.
It’s encouraging to reflect on the past week and see how our Lord has been working in and through one another. It’s a joy to see the unity of heart amongst the team. We praise God for His work and what He intends to do as a new week approaches.
Thank you for following along, and for your continued support in prayer. You can find daily updates, pictures and video from the outreach in Ghana at the eTeam’s Facebook page.
