Tuesday April 3 2018
Today began our first of many school visits. The team worked together to share the gospel with junior high and primary students using a variety of different methods. We opened by singing a Twi song for the children and then moved into some illustrations and a puppet skit before sharing a message with the children. The program ran smoothly and the kids were engaged. The school was very thankful that we took the time to visit despite their poor environment. We were able to present to about 200 children – the room was packed, with standing room only and overflowing! Jewel took this opportunity to share the Gospel using the rope trick with a younger class along with some children who had overflowed into the next room.
We had another hot afternoon of neighbourhood evangelism, with many good conversations and contacts made. Different members of the team had the opportunity to share with Jehovah’s witnesses, Muslims, and large groups of school children. Each group came back with several stories to share and people to pray for.
Praise the Lord we made it back to the house without crashing the van today, and after a quick dinner, we set up for our second gospel movie night. We showed the movie ‘Woodlawn’, with about 100 in attendance by the end of the movie presentation. Jennifer shared her testimony and Michael and Jesse both shared a short gospel message before closing.
We appreciate your continued support though prayer. Here are some prayer requests for today:
1. Please pray for continued energy and stamina for the team.
2. Please pray for all the seed that has been sown and for those who have received tracts.
3. A gentleman named Francis who made a profession of faith. Please pray for the follow up and his new faith.
4. The weather held up well for our movies. Please pray that it will continue to stay clear.
5. Please pray that each team member will be able to fulfill their role effectively.
Thank you for following along, and for your continued support in prayer. You can find daily updates, pictures and video from the outreach in Ghana at the eTeam’s Facebook page.
