Wednesday April 4 2018

This morning the team was scheduled to preach at two schools: Crown Prince and Kyere school. The team split up into two groups and preached at both, mainly to primary students. The children had a good time and were attentive to the presentations. It was a great opportunity to share the gospel to such receptive audiences.

After we returned from the schools we gathered for devotions and Daniel spoke from James 1:19-20. The focus of the conversation was how powerful an impact we can have on others when they notice that we are truly listening to them. It is an important characteristic to have as ambassadors for Christ, especially when ministering to others.

The afternoon was spent going into different parts of town and handing out tracts. Many genuine conversations were had and everyone is still so thrilled that Ghanaians take time to listen to what we have to say. Richard and his group arrived at a house just as they were carrying out the corpse of an old man who had just died. Richard spoke to the family from Psalms 23 with tears of compassion as the family appreciatively listened. We trust God’s Spirit will bring comfort to our team in their time of grief.

In the evening we set up for our third outdoor movie event. We had a smaller turnout compared to yesterday’s crowd. Unfortunately, after we had finished setting everything up for the movie, dark clouds started rolling in. Lighting and thunder followed by a strong wind, so we packed up everything as quickly as possible. Instead of cancelling the program Daniel and Priscilla invited those who were outside into their home to watch the movie and give them shelter from the heavy rain. The movie was about evidence of God through His creation. After evening prayers the team agreed to allow extra time to sleep-in tomorrow so those who were weary in body could have extra rest.

Thank you for following along, and for your continued support in prayer.  You can find daily updates, pictures and video from the outreach in Ghana at the eTeam’s Facebook page.
