Today has been a day full of travel and preparations for the team’s departure back to Canada. The team members who were in Cape Coast left this morning and arrived safely back in Kumasi after the long drive. We are thankful to God that we had no problems with the van, and that the journey was uneventful. Jesse is still feeling ill, but is doing better thanks to some medication and excellent care from Pam, our unofficial nurse, as well as other members of the team. On our way back from the coast we picked up Richard, who was staying with the Frimpong’s during our Cape Coast trip. This evening we were all back together in Kumasi for our final dinner at Daniel and Priscilla’s home. After dinner, some of us walked to the nearby lake and went for a quick evening swim.
Tonight we had a short devotion and time of prayer and thanksgiving. Mercer shared from 1 Thessalonians 1:2-9 and reflected on the work of the Gospel done these past two weeks. As we enter our final day, the team is preparing their last messages, lessons, and classes for Sunday morning.
From the bottom of our hearts we thank everyone who has prayed for us and for the work here. Your prayers and support have been a crucial part of this outreach. Please continue to pray as our time here concludes, for travelling mercies as team members travel home, as well as for the seeds of the Gospel planted here in Ghana.
Thank you for following along, and for your continued support in prayer. You can find daily updates, pictures and video from the outreach in Ghana, as well as future updates from Ireland and Belize, on the eTeam’s Facebook page.
