Wednesday April 11 2018

Our time in Ghana “doing the work of an evangelist” (2 Tim 4:5) is winding down. Today as the team set out to visit the last two schools we welcomed a bright clear azure sky with fluffy clouds and waves of hot desert breeze.
The first school we visited was ‘Heiceford International’, with about 50-60 children ages 10-13 years old. Shadrach introduced each part of the program. The children were very quiet and respectable. Even when the ladies sang “Dan-na-se”, a well-known local praise song, they showed little emotion. Since school starts at 7am with opening exercises, one can see why the children had little enthusiasm.
The next and last school the team visited was ‘Modern International’, with 100-125 students ages 10 to 13 years. Each team member that took part did so in a Christ honoring manner. The headmaster asked a young student girl to thank us for our efforts, and the meeting ended with a joyful song of praise.

After team devotions and lunch we headed to Kumasi Mall to use the ATM. Unfortunately the ATM would not return Jewel’s card. Two team members waited with her until the bank staff could come by and retrieve her card, which took about 2 hours. In the meantime others did a bit of shopping and tract distribution.

Once Jewel had her card returned the team travelled to the town of Brofroyedru to share more tracts. The team spread out and distributed many tracts. We then enjoyed a lovely meal at the home of Joseph and Heather Frimpong in Adumasa, followed by a visit to their midweek bible study time. As we set out for home we discovered the lights on the team van were not working, but a call to a mechanic had our lights working fine for our return to finish our long and busy day.

Prayer Items for today:
1. Praise the Lord for the returned bank card and fixed van now ready for traveling to Cape Coast.
2. That the trip to Cape Coast tomorrow will involve some evangelism, so we ask for guidance by the Spirit.
3. Rest of body for those who have fallen ill. Shadrach has not be stricken with Malaria also.
4. A good rest for the Ghanaians who participated on the team, as they will remain in Kumasi while the others travel down to the coast Thursday morning.

Thank you for following along, and for your continued support in prayer.  You can find daily updates, pictures and video from the outreach in Ghana at the eTeam’s Facebook page.
