“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18

The message of the cross was preached today at Kenyase JHS. Philemon, Stephen, and Alfred presented the good news to several hundred excited students. Instead of the wristband, Philemon explained the gospel using a soccer ball with the same five colours. We were able to leave the ball with the school as a gift, with the hope that the ball will remind them of the message of sin and salvation as they play with it. In the afternoon we split into two groups to preach at New Ham International School; one group spoke to the older students and the other to the younger ones. Caroline, Stephen, Nico, Shiloh, and Emma all participated in these presentations. We are so grateful to all of you who hold us up in prayer and intercede for the souls of the children who eagerly listen to the messages.

In the afternoon, on the way home from New Ham International School, we stopped in the village of Anwomaso for tract distribution. Many of the team members were given the opportunity to sit down with interested groups of men and women and share with them about the Lord Jesus Christ. Emma Sr. in particular was able to defend the gospel to a group of men with many serious questions, for quite a long discussion. Other team members met Jehovah’s Witnesses, Muslims, and many more lost souls, handing them tracts and explaining our purpose for being here. At the van, while we were waiting for the team to return, Abigail gave out dozens of tracts to school children all eagerly asking for them. So much of the seed has gone out in the past week, we hope for a great harvest of souls.

Finally, we were given a demonstration today of how the Devil seeks to come among us and destroy our unity and fruitfulness. We earnestly ask for prayer that he may not be given any ground here and that our witness may continue to be strong and fruitful.

Thank you to all who have been praying for and supporting this effort. Click here to go to our Facebook page for more updates, pictures and videos.
