Our day was full as the team assembled for orientation and training. After going over schedules and a variety of practical issues, we were pleased to hear brother Joseph Frimpong teach about evangelism in Ghana. His wife, Heather, along with their three children were able to join us for lunch, and meet all the team members. After lunch we heard some inspiring ministry from brother Sean, who talked to us from 1Corinthians 1 about the gospel we preach deflating our pride, for we preach a crucified Christ. Much of the afternoon was given to teaching and practicing various approaches to evangelism. After dinner the elders of the assembly were present to welcome the team to Ghana, and speak of the culture and the history of the assembly work in Kumasi. Our evening ended with a time of prayer. Tomorrow is the Lord’s Day, and we look forward to our collective time of remembrance, and the Lord’s presence and power manifested among us through the ministry of His word.
